Announcing the .trb Namespace for the Tellor Community
The Tellor community now has its own .trb namespace on XNS. Register a permanent, human-readable name like vlad.trb for just 0.001 ETH.
We're excited to announce the launch of a dedicated .trb namespace for the Tellor community as part of XNS.
XNS names let you replace long 0x wallet addresses with a human-readable, permanent address identifier.
Instead of sharing a hex string, you can use names like:
- alice.trb
- best-oracle.trb
- gm.trb
Anyone, including Tellor community members, can now register a .trb name on x2xPay.me.
Why register an XNS name?
An XNS name replaces long 0x addresses with a human-readable, permanent identifier.
Unlike ENS, XNS names do not expire. There are no renewals. Once registered, it's yours forever.
Permanent names improve user safety by eliminating expiration-based sniping and phishing risks (due to renewal reminders via email).
After registering your name, you simply share it when receiving funds. No more copying and pasting hex strings. This significantly reduces the risk of address poisoning and clipboard malware.
Beyond utility, owning a .trb name signals alignment and support for the Tellor community.
How to register a .trb name
- Go to x2xPay.me
- Navigate to the Get Name tab
- Open the namespace dropdown (default is .xns)
- Select .trb
- Choose your label (e.g., vlad → vlad.trb)
- Click Register
.trb names cost 0.001 ETH (~$2 at current prices).
Once registered, your wallet display will show your name instead of your 0x address (see top right corner).
How to use your .trb name
The easiest way for senders to use your name is through x2xPay.me, an app built on top of XNS.
When someone wants to send you funds, you simply tell them your name (e.g., vlad.trb) instead of copying and pasting a wallet address.
Then the sender:
- Goes to x2xPay.me
- Opens the Send tab
- Enters the amount
- Types your name (e.g., vlad.trb) as the recipient
The app automatically looks up the associated address on Ethereum and sends funds to the correct address.
No copy-paste.
No clipboard malware risk.
No address mistakes.
Try it. It genuinely feels like the "Revolut moment" for crypto.
What you get with a .trb name
By registering a .trb name, you get:
- A human-readable, permanent address identifier. No renewals. No expirations (unlike ENS).
- Protection against name sniping, phishing, address poisoning and clipboard malware.
- Cross-chain usability (XNS works across EVM chains with Ethereum being the source of truth).
- ETH-aligned economics: 80% of the registration fee is burned, directly accruing value to ETH holders (like most of you).
Call for communities
If you're a protocol, DAO, or community and want your own dedicated namespace, reach out by sending a DM on X.
To bootstrap adoption, namespace registrations can be created free of charge by the XNS contract creator during the first year after contract deployment.
The communities will earn 10% of registration fees within their namespace in perpetuity, creating a built-in incentive to help grow the XNS ecosystem.
XNS is just getting started, and we're excited to welcome the Tellor community with .trb.
About XNS
XNS is a name registry on Ethereum designed for safe value routing.
Unlike subscription-based systems such as ENS, XNS names never expire and are permanently bound to a single address. This eliminates expiration risk and improves user safety.
XNS introduces first-class namespaces (not layered under a single root domain like in ENS) and is built with simplicity and ETH-aligned economics in mind: 80% of registration fees are permanently burned.
